We are located in a region of France steeped in history, yet the area is somewhat undiscovered.  World renowned brands such as Courvoisier, Hennessy, Remy Martin and Greygoose all only a stones throw from La Vue.

Angouleme is the capital of The Charente and is located 20 minutes from us. It sits on a plateau over looking the Charente river. The city is known as the “balcony of the southwest”. Angouleme historically was a fortified town and in days gone by  was subject to many sieges. It is now known for its farmers market, shopping, and restaurants. It is also home to the third largest comic festival in the world. The city is split between old and new. The old city features winding back streets, small squares, and architecture from the 19th century. The new city is where you can find the shops, bars and restaurants a-plenty.

Cognac and Jarnac are both situated along the Charente river between the towns of Angouleme and Saintes. Cognac is the home to brands such as Hennessy, Martell, Otard, Camus and Remy Martin. There are lots of fantastic places for food especially is you can get a table looking across the river. Jarnac is situated on the north bank of the Charente river, and like  Angouleme and Cognac is only 20 minutes drive from La Vue. Jarnac is home to Courvoisier and the town offers a huge array of places to enjoy fine local cuisine.

Shopping in Bordeaux, cognac tasting in Cognac and dinner in Angouleme, all whilst staying at La Vue France.
